ICE 2023 is able to open up opportunities for academia to form networks and joint ventures with the community, the public and private sectors so that the research and innovation that is produced really meets the needs of the target group and is able to help the groups involved to improve productivity and product quality in line with one of the strategies in Higher Education Prosperity Action Plan (IPT Prosperity) in the mandate of YB Minister of Higher Education on 17th January 2022 which is to strengthen strategic collaboration networks. In addition to that, it also coincides with the principle of the research field must have strategic cooperation and must be the main source of the university in generating income in line with the guiding principle for research in the university by YB Minister of Higher Education on 9th January 2023.

ICE 2023 aims to disseminate the latest findings in research, innovation products and as a medium to expand entrepreneurial activities in the field of Hospitality, Tourism and Wellness through the presentation of research papers, innovation products and entrepreneurial products to achieve the university's objectives towards increasing publications, research, innovation and entrepreneurial activities at the Universiti Malaysia Kelantan.
